Restoration began when the present owner, Penny Streeter OBE, acquired the estate in 2017. Penny and her team are dedicated to restoring, maintaining and further improving the gardens and buildings so that the public can once again experience their beauty and special qualities.
Visitors can explore a wide range of features including the unique dolls’ house exhibition – and the rare colony of wallabies, wildfowl and huge carp in the seven ponds.
The popular walking trails at Leonardslee are a major draw as is discovering the historic beauty of the restored estate.
Wide selections of refreshments are available from the new restaurants and tea rooms. The high-end dining and afternoon teas are served in the Leonardslee House and casual fare is served in the Clock Tower Cafe, Courtyard Cafe and other food stations throughout the gardens
