Heaven’s Farm, Furners Green is set in 100 acres of beautiful parkland in Uckfield, East Sussex. Steeped in 600 years of farming history Heaven Farm includes a famous Bluebell nature trail (featured many times on BBC TV), camping, wallabies and rural life museum. Judged in 2008 to be one of England’s most beautiful farms. Heaven’s Farm Furners Green makes a great day out.
As you make your way around the trail there is much of interest – from an ancient Bloomery (probably Roman) to a “Millenium” water wheel. An old pack horse bridge, a 300 year old dam, badger sets and foxes’ earths. And don’t forget the wallabies with their joeys lazing in the sun or hopping around. You can purchase a small bag of food and enjoy feeding the numerous carp in the large ponds on the trail. They will often come close to feed on the treats.
Then retire to The Stable Tea Rooms for a light lunch or cream tea. Freshly prepared and served straight from the country kitchen; with delicious homemade cakes, everyone should try the fudge cake!
